welcome to asher's amber

Baltic Amber is actually not a stone, but a tree resin found in the Baltic Region. It has been a trusted European pain remedy for hundreds of years, and is quickly gaining popularity in the United States as more and more parents move away from drug related solutions and into natural remedies. When the amber is placed near a source of pain, the body's natural heat helps give off the succinic acid in the amber, which is an all-natural pain reliever. Each necklace has been handmade, with a double knot between each bead. The necklace is made to break if necessary, and if so you can be assured that the beads will not fall loose. We have kept your child's safety in mind with every step. My own son, Asher, has worn one of these every day since he was 6 months old and we have never had a single issue. My main recommendation is to distract your baby when you are putting it on, and if he or she ever pulls on it, distract them as well. Our son has only pulled on/noticed his necklace three or four times over the course of almost a full year with it on and has never tried to pull it off. It is so light that they will most likely not notice it at all.

but, does it work?!

When our son cut his third tooth, he ran a very low fever, was fussy (is usually a very happy baby), and drooled all day long. He drooled so much that I kept a bib on him at all times, and probably went through 4 a day. When we called our pediatrician, the only suggestion we were given was to give him baby Tylenol. I knew that teething takes months and months to get through, so I wanted to explore drug-free options instead of relying on tylenol to ease his pain. I did a lot of research on the healing properties of Baltic Amber, and felt hopeful. I spoke to our pediatrician and they said it is certainly safe and to give it a try. My husband was a little skeptical about simply "wearing a necklace" to ease our sons teething pain, but again, figured it couldn't hurt to try. I anxiously awaited my son's new amber teething necklace, and as soon as it came I put it on him. I think we were both expecting (hoping for) an immediate "cure", but we patiently waited. After about a week or two of wearing the necklace, we noticed he was no longer randomly fussy, and I was able to put away all the bibs because the drooling had almost completely stopped. Of course we weren't sure if it was because of the necklace, or because the next set of teeth had already completely come in. I'm so happy to report that at 15 months old, with 16 teeth, we have never had to get the bibs back out
